The feedback was outstanding and all of our attendees said they would love another Interpreting Insights event, as TRANSLIT’s conference was very well-received by its viewers on Wednesday.
A year on from the foundation of TRANSLIT Pro, TRANSLIT CEO Alex Chernenko and Training Development Manager Svetlana O’Farrell came up with the idea for a day dedicated to the freelance interpreter. And with businesses opening up across Ireland and the rest of the world, 26 May was the ideal timing for the day-long conference.
The results speak for themselves, with 99.9 percent of the attendees saying the conference was “interesting and helpful” or “very interesting and helpful.”
And arguably the star of the show was Claudia Brauer. She broached the topic of Stanislavsky’s Method Acting for interpreters. Claudia showed us how interpreters can do their jobs more effectively.
Another noteworthy talk came courtesy of Hans Verrept, he spoke about the variety of approaches to interpreting globally. That was particularly focused on those interpreters who are targeting the global marketplace.
Following a year where a global pandemic struck and events came to a standstill, Natalia Fedorenkova gave a brilliant presentation about all of her direct experiences.
Muhamed Durmic took it back to setting up a remote interpreter, and his was more of an advice session for those who are contemplating getting into remote interpreting.
Jeannette Juston was one of our two extra speakers at the round table event later in the day, where she talked about well-being and its importance for interpreters. Rafael Adam was the other addition to our panel for that discussion. He showed us his studio set-up for remote interpreting.
And lest we forget our TRANSLIT team who also spoke throughout the conference.
Alex Chernenko opened the day with his glimpse into future, showing us what’s to come in the world of live events and interpreting. Alex Gusev, the TRANSLIT Business Development Manager, also gave us his insight into remote interpreting with an emphasis on TRANSLIT RSI. And Svetlana O’Farrell came on board to tell us about marketing and selling yourself globally, as an interpreter.
Irina Sergeeva’s brilliant self-branding workshop was a resounding success too, exclusively for all of the Premium and Premium Plus pack buyers.
You can get the full HD recordings of the event and copies of any handout materials created by the speakers here.
